6 Steps to buying your new home in Amsterdam
Please find below the 6 steps to buying your new home in Amsterdam.

1. Housing needs
We get to know each other during an intake interview (without obligations). We tell you about the housing market and our services and you tell us about your housing needs and budget. Are we a good match? Then we will immediately get to work for you. You will automatically receive new home listings in your email every day, one of which could be yours very soon.

2. Viewing
Did you spot a nice house? Let us know right away! We will immediately schedule a viewing for you. Together we’ll go look at the house, paying attention to every detail. We’ll consider the year of construction to the characteristics of the neighborhood, location and orientation. We’ll even assess the structural condition, maintenance and quality of the finishing.

3. Research and advice
Still interested? Then we’ll sift through our sources to find out everything about the home and neighborhood. From defects to zoning plans. With our advice about the value of the house, the bid and any terms, you have a good chance of getting the house, without paying too much.

4. Negotiation
In our personal bidding strategy we leverage a combination of smart timing, strong terms and good relationships. This approach helps us ensure that the selling party sells your dream home to you. Though it all comes down to the final word from the seller!

5. Purchase Agreement
Hooray, the seller has accepted your bid!! The house is almost yours now. In this stage, we’ll check the purchase agreement and go through it with you (including the fine print!) before signing at the notary. While you (with our help) arrange the financing, we’ll keep a close eye on the expiration of dates such as those of the terms.

6. Transfer of ownership
Finally the time has come: transfer of ownership. Together we do an inspection to see if the house is in the same state as when you bought it. We also note the meter readings. You sign the deed of transfer and mortgage deed at the notary. After you receive the key, you enter your new home that same day. Cheers!
